Hello. My name is Bob. I was brought up around dogs. My Dad's breed of choice was beagles. However, he never showed dogs. He raised "rabbit huntin' dogs". My first dog (non-beagle that is) was a 1/2 chow and 1/2 keeshond. Her name was Murphy. She got into "trouble" before I could get her fixed. Her boyfriend was a full blooded chow. She had 2 black boys, 1 black girl, and 2 cream boys. I kept one of the black boys (Toby). When my ex and I split up, we split up the dogs as well. I took Toby with me. I became a traveling nurse. Toby traveled around the country with me. We lived in Omaha, NE, southern CA, northern CA, New Orleans, LA and finally came to Philly. Toby died a few years ago from stomach cancer. He was 8 years old.
I had always enjoyed watching dog shows, but had never ventured into the ring. I met Diane Myers from Tedilan Chows through a chow web ring. She put me in contact with Harvey and Penny Kent from Sunburst Chows. That's when I got my first show dog. A red rough boy named Gambit. After a difficult and sometimes frustrating show career, he became a champion with 3 majors under his belt. During the time that I was showing Gambit, I met Tony and Sharon Raposo from Royal Chows. They wound up breeding Gambit to one of their bitches named Foxy. That litter produced 3 pups. There was 1 boy and 2 girls (all red with rough coats). The boy is named Luca. He's staying with Sharon and Tony at Royal Chows. One of the girls is named Duma. She is loved by Camille from Mankou Chows. The other girl is living with her Dad and Me here in South Jersey. Her name is Jubilee.
Several people seem to have some sort of "theme" when it comes to their kennels. I have chosen super heroes. "Gambit" is a cajun from New Orleans that can make things explode. Hence Gambit's registered name is Sunburst Cajun Explosion. "Jubilee" can emit explosive engery sparkles from her fingers. Jubilee's registered name, therefore, is Royal Sparkle Explosion.
