Royal Sparkle Explosion
AKA
JUBILEE
What can I say about the newest addition to the family??? This is one HYPER dog. Do they make "doggie ritalin"?
Jubilee is very smart. She learned her name in about 2 days. Of course, that might have something to do with the fact that she is a BIG chowhound. Every time I gave her any food, I would call her name. Took her NO time to come running when I called her name!
Jubilee has had one puppy match so far. We were actually the only Non-Sporting dog in the show, so we went into the Best in Match ring by default. The judge tried to examine her, but she jumped away from him. He actually came back to her THREE times to try and examine her. He kept coming up to her from behind though, and she HATED that. I think that the judge really wanted to give her Best Puppy, but he couldn't because she never would let him examine her. (We're working on that one!)
Ok. We had another puppy match today (11/11/07). The judge for our group was supposed to be the judge for the Best Puppy as well. He also judged the toys. He was going NUTS for the Italian Greyhound. I wasn't looking forward to going back in the ring. However, the judges got switched. We wound up showing under Judge Doreen Tietjin. We won Best Puppy in Match. We recieved several very nice commments on Jubilee's stacking, gait and overall attitude in the ring. Jubilee beat 35 dogs that day.
Jubilee went to her first AKC show in the beginning of January 2008. Her very first show, she took reserve. On the 2nd day (2nd show), she took Winners Bitch, then defeated Winners Dog to take Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex for her first point.
The very next weekend, Jubilee went with her Dad to the UKC shows. She won the first show to take Best of Winners (BOW) and Best of Breed (BOB). In the group ring, she actually took a Group 2. I was very excited by this, as she beat a 2 yr old Grand Champion Samoyed.
